When we moved into our Edwardian semi in South East London we were confronted with an interior décor that was still marooned in the early 1980’s – drab carpets, dismal walls, and kitchens and bathrooms that would make even the most experienced home refurbisher want to throw in the towel. Sensing our despair, a friend recommended Megan’s interior design service – and what a stroke of luck that proved to be.

Not only does Megan have a real flair for design - she is up-to-date with contemporary looks and in close contact with exciting retailers - but, even more importantly, she takes time to understand her clients' own tastes and visions for their home. We never felt bullied into choices, but rather had our eyes opened to new possibilities, or were put back in touch with elegant classic solutions.

We'd just bought a tenement flat in Glasgow which had been rented out for years and was looking very tired. Once we had Megan on board, we decided to tackle the kitchen. We weren't sure what to do with the kitchen recess, a dead space which made the room feel dingy. Meg suggested turning it into a walk-in pantry lined with wooden shelves and separated by glass panelled doors, which is now a joy to use and to look at! She gave us sensible advice on colours, suggesting neutral greeny greys and as a result the room looks modern and clean. She guided us through every decision from how to arrange the lighting to where to buy handmade brass handles for the cupboards, always helping us to get the best deals through her contacts with suppliers. I'm so grateful to Megan, because without her I would have ordered everything from one company, ending up with an identical kitchen but instead she's created a space which feels unique, welcoming and stylish.

Our dining room and hallway had dark panelling that looked very outdated and desperately needed changing, and we had issues with the dining room being very cold. It all changed to being warm, stylish and modern thanks to Megan. She was patient, listened to our ideas, and shared inspiring mood boards to help show us her vision. Her regular communication and updated furniture, fabric and paint schedules made the whole process smooth and enjoyable. It was good to have her expertise to narrow down some of the choices to stop us getting overwhelmed. The result is better than we could have ever imagined - we couldn’t be happier.
